Hear tango like you've never heard it before. The Buenos Aires based The Alejandro Ziegler Cuarteto Tango (www.alejandroziegler.com) perfoms a repertoire of modern day tangos from the 1950s and 19...
60s until today. Original compositions are mixed in
with legendary tango works by Astor Piazzolla, Horacio Salgan and others. The
AZCT has managed to seamlessly blend beloved traditions with innovative new
styles that create a unique musical experience. The quartet featuring Alejandro
Ziegler (piano), Ignacio Quiroz (violin), Javier Stromann (bangoneon) and Ariel
Obregon (doublebass) integrates elements of Di Sarli, Pugliese, Troilo and Gobbi
while adding in dashes and flourishes of improvisation and romanticism that keep
audience on their toes. You might find yourself helpless against the powers of
the tango in the hands of these skilled musicians. But that's probably not a bad
thing.

Red Wood Tango Trio will present a Concert- Milonga at Blue Wisp Jazz Club Thursday August 30th. Wether you are a Tango dancer or love great music you can't miss this unique opportunity for a Tango experience.
An Intro Tango class will be offer by Patricia Paz Tango before the concert 6.30pm (included with your ticket)

Redwood Tango Ensemble is a trio in the San Francisco bay area, dedicated to playing traditional and original tango music. The group plays transcriptions and adaptations of the classic orchestras led by Francisco Canaro, Juan D’Arienzo, Osvaldo Pugliese, Anibal Troilo, Julian Plaza etc, as well as original compositions and nuevo-tango from around the world.

Fernanda Ghi & Guillermo Merlo, one of the most prominent couples in the world of Argentine tango, return to Cincinnati on Saturday, March 31 with two performances at the Blue Wisp Jazz Club. Created with Alfredo Minetti and comprised of excerpts from This Is Tango Now: Indentidad, their exciting presentation of fragments includes a cast of 10 dancers and musicians and features compositions by Pugliese and Piazolla.

Una Noche de Tango with Eduardo Tami Trio

Join me for an unique Noche de Tango. with live Music by Eduardo Tami Trio, and live performances by Claudia Marciano and Toni Saganias, sorprise vocal and dance participation, DJ Patricia Paz playing the best of the the Old School and Golden Age of Tango, cortinas of Salsa, Swing and Chacareras.
We finally are going to have seats for more than 70. There are only 47 reserved and a total capacity for more than 100. So, feel confident to attend even if you didn't reserve your seats.
We are always a green Milonga so bring your glass to keep helping the enviroment to stay clean.
Parking: You can park on the street till midnight but have to feed every two hours. I suggest to park at Newport parking that is only $2 for 24 hrs.
Locomotion on the Levee is inside the building at The Gallery, RiverWalk Level (if you come from NOL Parking) next to Art on the Levee, across the AMC Tickets.
Reservations will be kept till 6.30pm. Please arrive on time. After 6.30pm we can't guarantee your seats.
Stone Brook wines will offer a Cabernet Franc,Chambourcin and a Dry White for $15 per bottle.
Bar Loui will provide Menus on each table and a person that will take orders for those that want to dine during the event. Please, choose to dine at this event.
I want to make this Milonga an unique and unforgetable night for all of us but most than anything I want to promote Argentine Tango and make it more popular in our city. Newport it is a great opportunity for exposure. Hope you all and much more can attend!
